We use a few drops of premium fragrance oils. Kits that include a jar of our brown dough is scented with a small amount of cinnamon.
Unfortunately, we're unable to put an exact shelf life on our sensory dough, as it can vary greatly based on a number of factors. On average, it will last about 3-6 months! In some cases it can last in this time frame, or even over a year!
It will depend on the climate of the region you live in (humidity, etc), the cleanliness of the hands that play with it, and also the environment it is stored in. Because it is food grade ingredients and made with zero preservatives, the dough totally has a mind of its own!
We recommend storing the sensory dough in the included airtight jars to keep it fresh for 3+ months! To prolong freshness even further, you can store dough in the fridge. If your dough gets dry, add warm water & knead!
Our dough is all natural and homemade with food-grade ingredients such as: all purpose flour, salt, cream of tartar, water, soy based vegetable oil, food coloring from the brand DECOPAC, and a few drops of premium fragrance oils.

If your child has life threatening allergies, we do not recommend using our dough, as we cannot 100% guarantee cross contamination with our suppliers.
Our kits are perfect for open-ended, imaginative play. It is amazing to watch children's creativity grow as they play with kits. We also offer curriculums for many of our full-sized kits, which are two pages of play prompts to help you get the most of the kits!
